Jim Price, CEO of Cincinnati-based Empower MediaMarketing Inc., wants the Association of National Advertisers to reveal which ad agencies allegedly took kickbacks or volume rebates from media companies at the expense of advertisers.
I reported Tuesday that the Association of National Advertisers, whose leadership includes Procter & Gamble Co.’s chief marketing officer, said an investigation had confirmed a lack of transparency in how ad agencies and media companies do business. Practices called into question included kickbacks to ad agencies based on the amount advertisers spent on media.
